Job summary

The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced pharmacist to take the role of Lead Pharmacist for Children’s Services. This band 8A senior position leads paediatric pharmacy, supports governance for medicines, and works with MDTs to improve patient care and medicines optimisation in paediatrics.

• Senior clinical leadership role in paediatric pharmacy.
• Lead safe delivery of paediatric medicines and governance.
• Drive medicines optimisation and patient care across paediatrics.
• Provide education and training to staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Lead Paediatric Pharmacy services at Royal Berkshire Hospital, including Neonatal and SCBU.
• Act as clinical pharmacy leader for Children’s Services.
• Provide leadership and training to junior team members.
• Support Medicines Management activities and enquiries from MDT.
• Contribute as a senior member of the Pharmacy department.
• Support implementation of national/regional medicines management activities.
