Job summary
Cardiff and Vale University Health Board in the UK is recruiting a Lead Pharmacist for Paediatrics with Antimicrobial Stewardship to provide leadership for the paediatric pharmacy service across the Trust, delivering expert clinical input, medicines optimisation, governance and service development for children and young people.
You will work closely with paediatric consultants, medical staff, nursing and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective and patient‑centred pharmaceutical care,
Qualifications
- Master's degree in pharmacy and GPhC registration are required.
- Specialist clinical pharmacy knowledge and paediatric expertise preferred.
- Experience with medicines management, audits and policy development.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist clinical pharmacy leadership for paediatric services across the Trust.
- Lead development, implementation and review of paediatric medicines guidelines and AMS pathways.
- Contribute to medicines safety, audit and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide education and training on paediatric medicines and antimicrobials.
- Support service development projects to enhance paediatric pharmacy services.
- Work with antimicrobial stewardship teams to deliver AMS strategy.
