Job summary

UHNM is recruiting a Paediatric Consultant with a Specialist Interest in Palliative Care to join the Staffordshire Children's Hospital at Royal Stoke. This is a permanent, full-time post offering 9 sessions per week and a 1 in 12 general paediatric on-call commitment, with involvement in teaching, audit and service improvement.

The successful candidate will provide specialist palliative care across UHNM and Dougie Mac Children's Hospice, contribute to service development and lead in

Qualifications

• Fully registered with GMC.
• BLS/PLS/PiLS trained.
• APLS or PALS provider.
• A postgraduate qualification e.g MRCPCH, MSc, DCH, DCCH, MBA or other equivalent diplomas.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the paediatric on-call rota (1 in 12).
• Support the CAU and inpatient wards during service weeks.
• Engage in clinical governance, audit and quality improvement.
• Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
