This is a permanent Consultant Paediatric post with a specialist interest in palliative care, based at Staffordshire Children's Hospital at Royal Stoke within University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust. The post holder will help develop the paediatric palliative care service across the Trust and Dougie Mac Children’s Hospice, while supporting general paediatrics.

The nine-session role carries a one-in-twelve general on-call commitment, including cover for the Children’s Assessment Unit and

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration is required.
• APLS or PALS provider status preferred.
• BLS, PLS or PiLS training is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Provide specialist paediatric palliative care within UHNM and Dougie Mac Children’s Hospice.
• Develop the Paediatric Palliative Care Service across the Trust.
• Support general paediatrics and participate in on-call rotas.
• Engage in governance, audit and quality improvement.
• Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
• Participate in service development and innovation.
