Job summary

Shaftesbury Victoria School in Poole, Dorset is seeking an Occupational Therapist to lead the school’s OT team. You will manage a caseload of pupils with developmental needs, assess and intervene, and work closely with families and other professionals to enhance educational outcomes.

You will supervise a team of OTs/OTAs and contribute to CPD and in-service training within a multidisciplinary setting, supporting students across education and therapy services.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered.
• Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Minimum of 3-5 years post graduate experience in Occupational Therapy.
• Experience managing or leading a team.
• Experience working with children & young adults.
• Manual Handling and safe moving practices.
• Working in a multidisciplinary or multiagency team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Occupational Therapy team at Victoria School.
• Carry a caseload of students and perform assessments and interventions.
• Collaborate with families and professionals to improve outcomes.
• Supervise OT staff within the team.
• Work with multidisciplinary therapy and education teams to support pupil outcomes.
