Job summary

Pulse is seeking a compassionate Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join the Child & Family Therapy Services in Buckinghamshire. You will assess and intervene with babies, children and young people, focusing on developmental delays, neurodiversity and neurodisabilities.

You will collaborate with families, schools and other professionals, develop individualised therapy plans, maintain records and contribute to care planning, promoting participation and independence.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Extensive paediatric OT experience.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Interest in sensory processing, early intervention, play and upper limb interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions for babies, children and young people.
• Support children with neurodevelopmental needs, including sensory processing, regulation, play, upper limb function, feeding, sleep and access to learning.
• Collaborate with families, carers, schools and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
• Develop individualised therapy plans that promote participation, independence and everyday functioning.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to multidisciplinary discussions and care planning.
• Promote a child and family-centred approach in all aspects of practice.
