Nuffield Health The Holly Hospital in Buckhurst Hill, Essex is seeking a Bank Paediatric Nurse to support leave, sickness, and demand in our Paediatrics team. You will be NMC registered with substantial paediatric post-registration ward experience, ideally dual trained in paediatric and adult care. EPALS is essential for this role.

This ad covers adhoc shifts Monday to Saturday in a private hospital setting, offering flexible hours and the chance to provide high-quality family‑centred care.

Formación

• Registered with the NMC.
• Substantial post-registration experience on a paediatric surgical ward.
• Dual training and confidence in both paediatric and adult care environments.
• EPALS certification is essential for this role.

Responsabilidades

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for paediatric patients.
• Monitor infants and children throughout hospital stay across procedures.
• Administer medications, IV therapies and treatments safely.
• Support families before, during and after diagnostic procedures and surgery.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative paediatric care.
• Communicate effectively with parents and multidisciplinary teams.

As a Bank Paediatric Nurse at our Nuffield Health The Holly Hospital, you’re registered with the NMC and have substancial post-registration experience on a childrens surgical ward. You'll ideally be dual trained and confident in both paediatric and adult care environments. EPALS is essential for this role!

As a Paediatric Nurse, you will:

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for infants, children and young people.
• Monitor patients' physical, emotional and developmental needs throughout their hospital stay.
• Administer medications, intravenous therapies and treatments safely
• Support children and families before, during and after diagnostic procedures and surgery.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for paediatric patients.
• Promote a child-centred approach to care, ensuring the child's wishes and needs are considered.
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
