Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust invites applications for an Emergency Medicine Medical Education Fellow (Paediatric) in Leicester. The one-year fixed position is 50% education and 50% clinical, with responsibilities spanning simulation, shop floor teaching, and FOAMed development.

The post targets higher Specialty Emergency Medicine trainees who will complete CT3 by August 2027 and hold full GMC registration.

Qualifications

Must have completed CT3 by August 2027.
Full registration with GMC.
Experience at ST4 level or above in Emergency Medicine.
Evidence of good communication skills and collaborative working.
Commitment to medical education and teaching.

Responsibilities

Aid the Post Graduate Education lead in overseeing education for all grades of medical practitioners in the department.
Contribute to development and delivery of educational programmes within the Emergency Department (Adult or Paediatric content on VLE).
Develop and enhance the Departmental Simulation programme.
Maintain FOAMed content for EM3learn.com and RCEM Learning where able.
Support the facilitation of WBPA (shop floor teaching sessions and CBD clinics).
Work within the Emergency Department Educational Team under Medical Director direction.
Align with UHL Educational strategy focusing on quality and governance.
