Job summary

Airmid Staffing Ltd. is recruiting for a Paediatric Complex Care Nurse in the Portsmouth area. Location: South Hampshire.

Pay rates: £40.00 LTD or £32.79 per hour (PAYE). Hours: Monday to Friday school hours in a school setting, plus Saturday overnight 20:00–08:00. Key responsibilities include tracheostomy care, TPN feeding, suctioning, medication administration via NG tube, and monitoring oxygen saturation to keep levels safe.

Qualifications

• Experience in paediatric complex care is required.
• Proficiency in epilepsy care, TPN feeding, suctioning and medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Tracheostomy care in a paediatric setting.
• TPN feeding management and related care.
• Operate BIPAP where necessary and suction to clear secretions.
• Accurate medication administration via NG tube.
• Monitor oxygen saturation and maintain safe levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Tracheostomy Care
• TPN Feeding Experience
• BIPAP-
• Suctioning – Perform both oral and deep suctioning to manage secretions.
• Medication Administration – Accurately administer and manage multiple medications via an NG Tube.
• Oxygen Saturation Monitoring – Ensure oxygen levels remain stable and within a safe range.

Requirements

• Experience in paediatric complex care, ideally with infants.
• Proficiency in epilepsy care, TPN feeding, suctioning, and medication administration.
• Ability to remain calm and act effectively in emergency situations.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centred approach.
