Job summary

Routes Healthcare (North) Limited is expanding its Paediatric Complex Care Team in the North East and seeks experienced care professionals to support children and young people with complex healthcare needs. The role involves one-to-one and two-to-one support across the region, with mileage paid.

You will provide specialized care including suctioning, airway management, and management of neurological or spinal injury needs, while promoting independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship).
• Paediatric care experience required.
• Tracheostomy, suctioning or ventilation experience required.
• Spinal injury or neurological care experience beneficial.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and two-to-one care for children and young people with complex healthcare needs.
• Support with suctioning and airway management.
• Deliver complex personal care and monitor clinical observations.
• Travel across the region; mileage paid.
• Promote independence, wellbeing and quality of life.

Job description

Pay: £15.68 per hour (including holiday pay)

Fully funded Enhanced DBS

Shifts: Various shifts available, including 6-hour, 8-hour and 12-hour day and night shifts. Weekend availability required , guaranteed hours available after successful

Essential: Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

About the Role

Routes Healthcare is expanding its specialist Paediatric Complex Care Team and is looking for experienced care professionals to support children and young people with complex healthcare needs across the North East.

You will provide specialist one-to-one and two-to-one care, supporting clients with:

• Suctioning and airway management
• Complex personal care
• Neurological and spinal injury support
• Clinical observations and monitoring
• Promoting independence, wellbeing and quality of life

Travel across the region is required, with mileage paid.
