Job summary

The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Charge Nurse/Sister to join the Paediatric ward, offering a mix of shifts and a 37.5 hour week within a busy Children’s Ward including a Paediatric Assessment Unit and High Dependency Area.

You will take charge of the ward, lead a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to high-quality patient care, teaching, and developing staff in an acute paediatric setting.

Qualifications

• RSCN/RNC or a RN with recent paediatric experience.
• Evidence of undertaking a recognised course of study in teaching and assessing.
• Educated to degree level or can demonstrate experience at this level.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of the ward regularly, managing ward activities and staff.
• Deliver high standards of patient care and support relatives.
• Educate and train nursing staff and students; act as role model.
