You will provide clinical and professional leadership to the nursing team, ensuring safe staffing, staff development and high-quality care for children and families.

Qualifications

• Registered Children’s Nurse with ongoing professional development.
• Recent post-registration experience in an acute setting.
• Evidence of competency in teaching and assessing.
• Evidence of further study within speciality.
• Post-registration burns experience.
• Experience in a senior nursing role.
• Experience in research and audit.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible clinical and professional leadership to the Paediatric Burns nursing team.
• Ensure safe, effective and high-quality care for children and families.
• Develop staffing, workforce deployment and safe staffing information.
• Lead workforce development through appraisal, education and supervision.
• Oversee quality, safety and governance, incidence management and audits.
• Support service development and policy implementation in the unit.
