Job summary

Gripple Limited in Sheffield is seeking packing operators to join our operations team. You’ll operate packaging equipment, ensure product quality, and work on a two-week shift pattern across mornings and afternoons, with occasional night/weekend work as needed.

We value punctual, energetic and detail-oriented individuals who can work independently or in a team. The role supports a 6.00am-2.00pm and 2.00pm-10.00pm shift, embracing Gripple's spirit of ownership and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Operating machinery and packaging equipment to high standards and achieving targets
• Bagging, boxing and palletising goods
• Prioritising customer orders to meet demand in a fast-paced environment
• Basic fault finding to identify machinery inefficiencies
• Undertaking asset care as part of daily role
• Maintaining and driving forward 5S standards
• Using IT systems (E8 / Microsoft Dynamics 365) to update works orders and perform quality checks
• Completing documentation for traceability and invoicing purposes

The role:

We are looking for individuals who are technical, enthusiastic and flexible with a keen eye for detail.

Based at our Riverside Works site and reporting to a team leader, your main task will be to operate packaging equipment whilst ensuring the product quality is up to standard. Energy, enthusiasm and an ability to do some lifting are crucial.

What you’ll be doing:

Working hours

The position will entail working regular mornings and afternoons on a two-week shift pattern, Mon-Thurs 6.00am-2.00pm or 2.00pm-10.00pm and Fri 6.00am-1.00pm or 1.00pm-8.00pm.

Night shift and weekend work may also be required to meet the demands of the business and you may also be required to help in other areas on site. A flexible, ‘can do’ attitude is therefore paramount.
