Job summary

Gripple Limited in Sheffield is seeking packing operators to join our operations team. You’ll operate packaging equipment, ensure product quality, and work on a two-week shift pattern across mornings and afternoons, with occasional night/weekend work as needed.

We value punctual, energetic and detail-oriented individuals who can work independently or in a team. The role supports a 6.00am-2.00pm and 2.00pm-10.00pm shift, embracing Gripple's spirit of ownership and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Numeracy skills and ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, with a good standard of written and spoken English
• Enthusiasm with a good work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills
• Organised approach and ability to cope well under pressure
• Good problem-solving capacity and ability to work on own initiative
• Flexible, hard-working and 'can do' attitude and adaptability to changes in your working environment
• Willingness to learn other disciplines
• Self-motivation and the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
• Drive to challenge machine targets, always identify areas for improvement and remain vigilant

Responsibilities

• Operating machinery and packaging equipment to high standards and achieving targets
• Bagging, boxing and palletising goods
• Prioritising customer orders to meet demand in a fast-paced environment
• Basic fault finding to identify machinery inefficiencies
• Undertaking asset care as part of daily role
• Maintaining and driving forward 5S standards
• Using IT systems (E8 / Microsoft Dynamics 365) to update works orders and perform quality checks
• Completing documentation for traceability and invoicing purposes
