Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe is seeking a skilled meat processing operative to cut, trim, and weigh pork to precise specs on a full-time basis at our UK site. You will safely operate band saws and machinery, adhere to safety and food standards, and contribute to a productive, quality-focused team environment.

The role requires hands-on execution, initiative, and a strong work ethic, with on-site facilities including a canteen, parking, and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience as a pork butcher or meat processor in food manufacturing.
• Advanced knife handling skills.
• Manual handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Cut, bone and trim meat (Pork) to required weights and sizes.
• Accurately weigh meat to meet spec.
• Clean production equipment as directed.
• Operate machinery safely, including band saws, following safety rules.
• Comply with Food Safety and Company policies at all times, with PPE.
• Maintain high work standards with a hands-on, can-do attitude.

• Cut, bone and trim meat (Pork)
• Cleaning specified production equipment
• Accurately cut and weigh meat to meet predetermined weight and size specifications
• Ensure product is processed according to Customer Specifications
• Safely operate machinery including band saws
• Comply with Company policies, Health and Safety and Food Safety Standards at all the times, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Positive thinking and self-motivation
• Ability to use own initiative
• An excellent attitude to work

• Previous experience as a pork butcher or meat processor in Food Manufacturing
