Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe is seeking a Farm Assistant (Mobile) to support broiler farms across the UK. You will help care for birds, assist with weighing, vaccination, catching and collection, and monitor ventilation, heating, feed, water and lighting to promote health and performance.

You will maintain records, uphold biosecurity, and work with the Farm Manager to drive improvements and efficient operations. A full UK driving licence is preferred as travel is required.

Qualifications

• Previous agricultural or poultry experience is beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
• Full UK driving licence preferred due to the mobile nature of the role.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day care and welfare of poultry, ensuring the highest standards are maintained at all times.
• Assist with farm operations including bird weighing, vaccination, catching, and collection activities.
• Monitor environmental conditions such as ventilation, heating, feed, water, and lighting to promote bird health and performance.
• Maintain accurate records relating to birds, feed, supplies, and farm activities.
• Ensure high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness, biosecurity, and farm presentation.
• Operate and carry out basic maintenance checks on farm equipment, reporting any faults or repair requirements.
• Follow company procedures, health and safety policies, and environmental practices, including waste reduction and recycling initiatives.
• Work closely with the Farm Manager and wider farm team to support flock performance, continuous improvement, and efficient farm operations.
• Contribute to farm security by monitoring site access and following security procedures.
• Participate in training and development activities to build skills and knowledge in poultry production.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties required to support the operation of the farm.
