Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe seeks a Line Leader to lead production operations, ensuring performance, safety and quality across the line. You will brief staff, manage headcount, and drive improvements with a focus on efficiency and cost control.

In this role you will monitor KPI indicators, ensure accurate data reporting, and uphold company procedures while coordinating with the Area Manager. Monday to Friday, 06:30am–16:30pm, onsite.

Qualifications

Continually developing own skills through attending Company training.
Experience preferred but all training will be given.

Responsibilities

Lead team briefs to discuss performance and training needs.
Coordinate head count and staff movements across areas.
Ensure clear communications to team and management.
Perform quality checks and maintain food safety records.
Resolve production line issues and guide the team.
Identify quick wins for cost reductions and efficiency.
Utilise staff effectively and manage loading capacity.
Ensure areas follow procedures and paperwork is complete.
Perform other duties as directed by Area Manager.

Job description

This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST. The Vacancy Are you ready to take the lead? We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Line Leader to join our team and help deliver operational excellence in Bodmin Pilgrims Europe.,

Responsibilities

Carry out regular team briefs to staff members in relation to performance / training needs to ensure the team operates effectively and targets are met.
Coordinate daily head count per area/line and control movements of staff where necessary, eg. low volume / area breakdowns.
To ensure good communications both to team and to management, to share information, knowledge and advice.
Complete quality checks meeting specification and ensure food safety checks /records are maintained by your team.
Resolve complex problems relating to line performance / production and give the team direction.
Challenge current process identifying quick wins for cost reductions.
Utilise staff members effectively, looking at time and motion of activities.
Process at optimum loading capacity of slicing lines (Grote slicing speeds).
Avoid customer shortages.
Build stock levels ensuring supply.
Explore all options of potential plan changes if required, to meet deadlines.
Ensure all area paperwork and procedures are implemented and correctly used and that all other written communication is followed and acted upon.
Any other reasonable duties as requested by the Area Manager.

Knowledge of KPI indicators - labour, yield, giveaway, waste, plan attainment.
Understanding of true line efficiency.
Understanding of daily plan.
Understanding of the Yellow card procedure.

Good knowledge of planning, processing, quality procedures.
Ability to work under pressure and within budgets parameters.
Ability to provide accurate data.
