Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe is seeking a proactive operations leader to head the Attleborough team, ensuring safety, product quality and process optimisation. You will coach colleagues, monitor daily metrics and drive continuous improvement across the area.

Key responsibilities include staff development, attendance management, lean problem solving and effective use of MS Office tools. English fluency and HACCP knowledge are essential.

Job description

The job role is to lead the team in achieving their required metrics for the area, with a key focus on team member safety, product quality and process optimisation, providing daily support and coaching to all team members. Build a high performing team

• Build strong relationships with each team member.
• Minimise absenteeism and organise unplanned cover when required taking the necessary steps to minimise cost.
• Train the team on OPEX tools systems and standards and track team member capability using versatility matrices.
• Involve the team in priority problem solving activities and promote a culture of learning and development.
• Communicate regularly and ensure goals and manufacturing targets are clear through team forums and MySuccess.
• Ensure team members are working to their strengths.
• Use problem solving to remove obstacles which may prevent team members from completing their roles effectively.
• Reward both successes and ideal behaviours. Address any performance issues promptly and discretely.
• Proficient written, numerical, and verbal skills.
• Fluency of English language (Oral and Written).
• Ability to record, interpret and analyse key process data.
• Experience in a manufacturing operation.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting.
• Team management experience.
• Proficient with MS Office tools.
• Understanding of lean tools and formal problem solving.
• Detailed understanding of the processes in the area of responsibility., Foundation level Health and Safety, Food Safety and HACCP
