Job summary

Hunter Selection has partnered with a UK-based manufacturer to recruit a Packaging Technologist in Seaham. The role focuses on designing packaging for products to appear on major UK retailers' shelves, with involvement in NPD and supplier liaison.

The ideal candidate will have packaging experience, strong problem-solving skills, and be a collaborative team player capable of coordinating design and redesign of packaging across corrugated, carding and flexible formats.

Qualifications

• Ability to problem solve and implement corrective actions.
• Experience working with various types of packaging (corrugated, carding and flexible)
• Experience in Food / FMCG Manufacturing
• Ability to work as a team to handle production problems.

Responsibilities

• Supporting NPD processes to bring new products to market.
• Building relationships with suppliers.
• Ensuring existing and new packaging is fit for purpose.
• Supporting issues with packaging, working alongside QA and operations.
• Coordinating design and redesign of new and existing packaging.
