Job summary

STADA UK Thornton & Ross in Huddersfield is offering a 12‑month Packaging Development placement for a 2nd year student. You will work on derma cosmetics and home hygiene packaging, embedded in a growing R&D team with real projects and hands‑on learning.

The role focuses on packaging development, trials, validation and sustainability, with opportunities to shape processes and adopt new tools and work practices.

Qualifications

• Currently studying a degree in Packaging, Engineering, Materials Science, Product Design or related.
• Interest in packaging innovation and sustainability.
• Able to manage tasks and details while seeing the bigger picture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver real packaging solutions for derma cosmetics and household products.
• Perform packaging trials, testing and validation including sustainability assessments.
• Create and maintain specifications, drawings, test reports and supplier data.
• Contribute to greener packaging choices in new product development.
• Help shape processes by building new tools, templates and ways of working.
• Take on real responsibility with practical involvement and visible impact.
