Job summary

The Sofidel Group is hiring for a packaging oper ator role at our UK site in Baglan. The successful candidate will run packaging and related machinery, manage material changes, and support the production line to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

To run the packaging machine.
To run the roll pack bundler machine.
To change polyethylene reels and similar materials.
To run the log saw if required.
To stop and restart machinery as needed.
To check product against data sheet.
To draft production control data sheets.
To perform small maintenance and adjustments.
To manage machinery changeovers.
To support colleagues and oversee end-line process when required.
To maintain high housekeeping and safety compliance.

PURPOSE

To guarantee the right operation of the packaging machinery in compliance with the working instructions and the safety guide lines.

Main Responsibilities

To run the packaging machine
To run the roll pack bundler machine
To change the polyethylene reels and their optional materials or feed the machine with skillets or cases
To run the log saw if required
To stop and restart the machineries when needed
To check the compliance between the product and the related data sheet
To draft the data sheet regarding the production control
Small maintenance activities and adjustments
To manage the machinery change over
To support the colleagues in case of need and overview the end line process when required
To ensure a high level of housekeeping of the working area is maintained throughout the shift
To ensure health & safety rules are adhered to
