Job summary

Heineken UK, Hereford site, is seeking a Maintenance Planner in Packaging to ensure OTIF engineering maintenance plans and packaging lines operate efficiently. You will develop, coordinate and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance, support regulatory compliance and budget control, and drive continuous improvement across the site.

The role requires an engineering background, 3–4 years CMMS experience (preferably SAP PM), and strong planning skills.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of CMMS experience (preferably SAP PM) in engineering or FMCG environment.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Exposure to process/packaging operations and CI methods (LEAN, TPM).

Responsibilities

• Create and communicate weekly maintenance schedules for packaging lines and maintenance windows.
• Plan and execute annual shutdowns with engineering team and contractors.
• Monitor downtime trends and report to optimise scheduling.
• Coordinate resources, contractors, parts and follow-up on breakdowns.
• Support TPM deployment and continuous improvement initiatives (5S, RCFAs, Kaizens).
• Track repair and maintenance costs against budget and highlight risks/opportunities.
• Report KPIs like APM day effectiveness and CMMS usage.
• Collaborate with site stakeholders and external contractors to resolve planning obstacles.
• Optimise spare parts stock with stores and other sites to reduce inventory costs.
• Subject matter expert for CMMS (SAP now moving to Maximo).
