Job summary

HEINEKEN UK Supply Chain is seeking a Maintenance Planner for Packaging on site in Hereford. You will develop and manage maintenance plans to keep packaging lines running OTIF and compliant with standards.

The role focuses on weekly scheduling, budgets, and continuous improvement within a busy brewing environment. You will work with a multi‑discipline engineering team, drive cost control, and lead TPM initiatives while maintaining strong collaboration with operators and on‑site stores.

Qualifications

• Time served as an engineer with a recognised qualification such as an apprenticeship, HNC/HND or degree ideally with a formal safety qualification (IOSH/NEBOSH).
• 3–4 years' experience using CMMS (preferably SAP PM) in an engineering or FMCG environment.
• Strong planning and organisational skills
• Prior exposure to process/packaging operations and execution of continuous improvement methods such as LEAN, TPM or general CI Methodologies

Responsibilities

• Create and communicate weekly maintenance schedules for packaging lines to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Plan and execute annual shutdown plans with the packaging engineering team and contractors.
• Monitor downtime trends and report on maintenance priorities and costs.
• Coordinate planning, resources and parts for major breakdowns and follow‑up work.
• Support TPM deployment and continuous improvement initiatives (5S, TPM, RCFA, Kaizens).
• Track KPIs such as APM day effectiveness and CMMS usage to support targets.
