About the role

A new opportunity has arisen for a Packaging Data Administrator to join the Quality team here at Tesco.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the packaging data that supports the development of packaging. Using insights to ensure that customers are central to what the business does, measuring success in accuracy, clarity, and availability of packaging data.

This role would suit someone with an analytical and commercial mindset, preferably with experience in the packaging industry.

You will be responsible for
  1. Creating and tracking data and information that enable packaging change decisions and position statements.
  2. Working with data service providers to develop and own accurate, auditable data sets to meet legal packaging reporting obligations.
  3. Building, maintaining, and developing insight and performance reports to provide visibility of packaging performance, tracking KPIs, and highlighting positive packaging changes.
  4. Generating reports and using data to identify packaging change opportunities supporting sustainable packaging ambitions.
  5. Developing a deep understanding of packaging data, conducting root cause analysis, and establishing continuous improvements to processes and systems.
  6. Providing accurate data to report performance to stakeholders such as NGOs, investors, and customers.
  7. Building relationships across the business and promoting the packaging agenda passionately.
  8. Measuring costs and environmental benefits from team-delivered changes and developing future recommendations.
  9. Supporting programme management, creating templates, and improving data access methods.
  10. Following the Business Code of Conduct, acting with integrity and diligence.
You will need
  • Experience working with data and an analytical mindset.
  • Ability to present data visually and verbally.
  • Experience in process and system improvements.
  • Supplier and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of the packaging industry (ideal but not essential).
  • Experience working cross-functionally.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
