Job summary

Harvey Nash in Scotland is seeking an experienced Project Planner to develop and manage construction-focused project schedules across the full lifecycle. This role is hybrid with office locations in Glasgow, Perth or Aberdeen, and pays a daily rate of £500-£600 via umbrella setup.

You will review contractor schedules for compliance, identify delays and risks, and implement mitigation strategies, using Primavera P6 and NEC3/FIDIC contracts, with strong stakeholder liaison and a practical,

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Planning Engineer using Primavera P6 on large scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Solid understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and site execution.
• Experience working under NEC3/FIDIC contracts, including delay impacts, change events and claims.
• Expertise in reviewing complex programmes and ensuring quality.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Job description

• Hybrid to an office in Scotland; Glasgow, Perth or Aberdeen
• Daily rate of £500 - £600 a day
• Umbrella set up only
• Background in Energy, Capital Projects, Water, defence or utilities highly regarded
• Must have experience of NEC3 and Primavera P6
• Driving Licence also essential due to the remote location of site visits

Adept at reviewing contractor schedules for compliance and integrity, identifying delays and risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.

Essential Skills:

• Proven experience as a Planning Engineer using Primavera P6 on large scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• A solid understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and site execution, gained through hands-on experience with multidisciplinary project delivery teams.
• Practical experience working under NEC3/FIDIC contracts, including assessing delay impacts, change events, and contractor claims.
• Expertise in reviewing complex programmes and ensuring quality.
• Demonstrated ability to use Primavera P6 to build and manage complex, logic-linked construction programmes
• Excellent relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• A proactive, can-do attitude and solid knowledge of Microsoft 365 Office Suite
