The role

As a Project Planner in our Onshore Renewables team, you’ll provide expert planning and scheduling support across our portfolio of wind farm development, construction, and life-extension projects. • Identify critical path activities and risks, assess potential delays, and support mitigation planning to keep our projects moving forward.
  • Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to produce integrated, high-quality programmes, ensuring alignment with project delivery plans and SSE standards.
  • Provide robust delay analysis, assess the impact of contractor claims, and support schedule-related aspects of change management and contract administration.
  • Produce clear, concise reports and planning insights that support informed decision-making across the project lifecycle.
You have
  • Proven experience in project planning and scheduling within large-scale engineering or construction projects – experience in renewables or energy infrastructure is highly desirable.
  • A confident and capable user of Primavera P6, with experience in building and maintaining complex activity networks.
  • Knowledge of contractual frameworks (e.g. NEC3/4) and experience reviewing contractor claims and assessing schedule implications.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly to a range of stakeholders.
  • Ideally, you\'ll hold a relevant degree or project management qualification (e.g. APM PMQ, Prince2), and experience with wind farm projects, Earned Value or Risk Management tools would be a plus.
