Job summary

Placr Recruitment is seeking a reliable and experienced P/T Grill Chef to join a busy restaurant in Hove. The role is hands-on, on the grill, and suited to someone who takes pride in quality food and works well in a team. Start date to be confirmed; hours are part-time with potential for extra shifts.

The salary is £15 per hour, with part-time hours and the chance to gain additional hours as the role develops in a friendly kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy restaurant kitchen.
• Confident on the grill and producing consistent results.
• Reliable and punctual, able to work as part of a team.
• Willing to take on extra shifts when required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking food to a high standard.
• Confidently operating the grill during busy services.
• Ensuring orders are prepared accurately and on time.
• Completing food preparation before and during service.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and kitchen organisation.
• Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures.
• Monitoring food quality, portion control and presentation.
• Supporting other members of the kitchen team when required.
• Helping with opening, closing and cleaning duties; communicating effectively with the wider restaurant team.
