Job summary

The Berkeley Scott Group are recruiting an experienced Chef Manager to join a school catering team in Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced catering professional looking for an immediate start.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the school kitchen, delivering high-quality meals and service, leading kitchen staff and maintaining rigorous food hygiene standards. Enhanced DBS and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chef Manager or senior catering role
• School/education catering experience is desirable
• Enhanced DBS required
• 2 references required
• Food Safety Level 2 certificate or willingness to obtain
• Food Allergen certificate or willingness to obtain
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Ability to lead a team and work under pressure
• Right to work in the UK

What you will be doing

• Maintaining food hygiene and health & safety standards

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Chef Manager or in a similar senior catering role
• Experience within a school or education setting is desirable
• Enhanced DBS required
• 2 references required
• Food Safety Level 2 certificate required (or willingness to obtain)
• Food Allergen certificate required (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety
• Good organisational and communication skills
