Job summary

The Profs in Bournemouth is seeking Oxbridge admissions tutors to support high-achieving students applying to Oxford or Cambridge. You will design and deliver bespoke admissions packages for undergraduate and postgraduate programs, drawing on your deep understanding of the admissions landscape and a track record of success.

You will manage a portfolio of clients, provide regular progress updates to managers, and collaborate with the admissions team to ensure tailored guidance, personal statement

Qualifications

• Experience planning and delivering bespoke one-to-one admissions programmes.
• Strong knowledge of the Oxbridge admissions process including personal statement support, admissions test preparation and mock interview facilitation.
• Proven success assisting students with the Oxbridge admissions process.
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience.
• Outstanding organisational and communication skills.
• High level of interpersonal skills, empathy and patience.

About the Role

We are looking for Oxbridge admissions tutors to work on our award winning University Admissions Branch. The ideal candidate will have attended either Oxford or Cambridge Universities, you will also have considerable admissions teaching/tutoring experience and a strong academic background.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and delivering bespoke admissions packages for students applying for highly competitive undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
• Managing a portfolio of clients and regularly feeding back updates on students' progress to relevant client managers.

Qualifications

• A graduate degree of 2.1 or higher.
• Educated at either Oxford or Cambridge University.

Required Skills

• Experience planning and delivering bespoke one-to-one admissions programmes.
• A thorough knowledge and understanding of the Oxbridge admissions process including personal statement support, admissions test preparation and mock interview facilitation.
• Proven success assisting students with the Oxbridge admissions process.
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience.
• Outstanding organisational and communication skills.
• High level of interpersonal skills, especially empathy and patience.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience working internally in the admissions teams at either Oxford or Cambridge.
• Experience of online tutoring.
• A Masters Degree.
• Over 2 years tutoring/teaching experience.
