Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a dedicated nightshift manager to lead overnight replenishment and full-store operations. You’ll manage a team, prioritise deliveries, oversee warehouse activity, and ensure shelves are ready for customers at opening.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, disciplinary handling, and KPI-driven performance. Experience in night shifts within a fast-paced retail environment is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues to do the same.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Operational leadership when senior managers are absent.
• Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding KPIs.
• Experience managing employee relations issues, including performance and absence management.
• Desirable: experience on night shifts in a high-volume environment and creating a safe, supportive atmosphere for the team during out-of-hours trading.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team overnight to deliver all replenishment activities across the store while organising deliveries, the warehouse, and shelf replenishment.
• Often running a full store operation overnight, being responsible for the full shift and the safety and wellbeing of colleagues.
• Ensuring standards are excellent in the morning so readiness to serve customers.
• People management is a big part of the role, managing performance and capability, conducting disciplinaries and ensuring scheduling and pay are accurate.
