Job summary

Kent County Council is advertising for a Permanent Relief Children's Residential Worker at Sunrise Children’s Centre in Kent. You will work on an as-needed basis to provide high standards of care for children and young people with disabilities, following care plans and maintaining records.

The role requires strong communication, willingness to train, and a proactive approach to learning, with opportunities through induction and a pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Able to follow care plans whilst keeping them updated.
• Can support and assist children and young people with their personal care needs.
• Able to create factual reports.
• Willing to undertake training and put theory into practice.
• Pro‑active approach to own learning.
• Communicates in an open and honest manner.
• Able to organise and deliver new opportunities of recreational and social experiences for children and young people.
• Who has an awareness of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015
• Holds a Diploma level 3/4 in Residential Childcare, or equivalent, or be willing to work towards this
