Sunrise Children's Centre, operated by Kent County Council, provides overnight short breaks for children with disabilities in West Kent. The role is a permanent relief residential worker on an as-needed basis, joining a busy team to deliver high standards of care and support for children aged 5–18.
Successful candidates will follow care plans, assist with personal care, and contribute to engaging recreational activities.
Sunrise Children's Centre offers overnight short breaks for children and young people in West Kent, from the age of 5 to 18 years old, who have disabilities, including autism and complex medical health needs. We support children to have fun with their friends and peers, to learn skills, make choices, and to be supported in a safe and nurturing environment, so that they and their families can have a break.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, to be able to work as part of a busy team providing a high standard of care for the children and young people that we support, work with own initiative as well as with guidance. Working at a fast pace, always ensuring the child/young person's needs are kept paramount.
Interviews will be conducted under the 'Choosing with Care' assessment process.
