Kent County Council is advertising for a Permanent Relief Children's Residential Worker at Sunrise Children’s Centre in Kent. You will work on an as-needed basis to provide high standards of care for children and young people with disabilities, following care plans and maintaining records.
The role requires strong communication, willingness to train, and a proactive approach to learning, with opportunities through induction and a pension scheme.
Sunrise Children’s Centre offers overnight short breaks for children and young people in West Kent, from the age of 5 to 18 years old, who have disabilities, including autism and complex medical health needs. We support children to have fun with their friends and peers, to learn skills, make choices, and to be supported in a safe and nurturing environment, so that they and their families can have a break.
We are seeking Permanent Relief Children's Residential Workers. You will be required to work on an ‘as and when required’ basis, dependent on the needs of the Unit.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, to be able to work as part of a busy team providing a high standard of care for the children and young people that we support, work with own initiative as well as with guidance.Working at a fast pace, always ensuring the child/young person’s needs are kept paramount.
