Job summary

Marie Curie is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join the Hospice Care at Home Overnight Service in Kirklees. You will visit patients in their homes, provide personal care, and support families while working overnight as part of a planned service.

The role requires compassionate care, strong communication, and the ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team. Based from home with travel within a 25 mile radius, night shifts, and AFC-aligned pay scales are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering care in health or social care settings.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
• An caring, nurturing approach and excellent communication.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Visit patients in their homes as part of the Hospice Care at Home Overnight Service.
• Provide personal care and emotional support to patients and families.
• Monitor symptoms and assist with medicines per care plan.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate with the care team.
