ARCA Consulting Ltd. is recruiting an experienced Overhead Linesman (LE1) for UK-wide projects. Based in the UK with travel and overnight stays, you will support safe delivery of OHL construction, mentoring LE2 staff and ensuring RAMS compliance.

You will lead on 132kV-400kV projects, reading drawings and specifications, with a strong focus on safety and quality, and you will contribute to ongoing development and progression within the team.

Qualifications

• Significant LE1 experience within transmission and distribution.
• Proven experience on 132kV-400kV OHL projects.
• Strong knowledge of RAMS, working at height and safe systems of work.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Overhead line construction, including foundations, tower erection and conductor stringing.
• Installation of conductors, earth wires, insulators, fittings and associated equipment.
• Maintenance, refurbishment and dismantling of existing OHL assets.
• Working to RAMS, drawings, specifications and HSEQ requirements.
• Supporting and mentoring LE2 Operatives and Trainees.
• Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and productivity.
• Identifying and reporting operational, safety and programme issues.

Shift Pattern: 10-hour shifts | Weekend on / Weekend off

Travel: Site-based with regular UK travel and overnight stays

ARCA Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a leading UK energy and infrastructure business for an experienced Overhead Linesman (LE1) to join its growing transmission and distribution team.

Our client delivers specialist engineering and operational services across the UK energy and utilities sector, including high-voltage networks, renewables and grid connection projects.

The Role

As an Overhead Linesman (LE1) you will support the safe and efficient delivery of overhead line construction projects, working alongside the OHL Foreman and providing technical guidance to LE2 Operatives and Trainees.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overhead line construction, including foundations, tower erection and conductor stringing.
