Job summary

ARCA Consulting is recruiting for an Overhead Linesman (LE1) to join its transmission and distribution team on UK-wide projects. The role is site-based in Scotland with travel across the UK and overnight stays as required.

You will support safe delivery of OHL construction, mentoring LE2 operatives and ensuring RAMS compliance. We offer a competitive salary plus site allowances, benefits and a bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• Significant LE1 experience within transmission and distribution.
• Experience on 132kV/400kV OHL projects.
• Strong knowledge of RAMS, working at height and safe systems of work.
• Relevant National Grid competencies.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Overhead line construction, including foundations, tower erection and conductor stringing.
• Installation of conductors, earth wires, insulators, fittings and associated equipment.
• Maintenance, refurbishment and dismantling of existing OHL assets.
• Working to RAMS, drawings, specifications and HSEQ requirements.
• Supporting and mentoring LE2 Operatives and Trainees.
• Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and productivity.
• Identifying and reporting operational, safety and programme issues.
