Get Staffed Online Recruitment Limited in Newcastle is seeking an experienced Overhead Crane Engineer to join the team during a pivotal growth phase. You will inspect, service and repair cranes and related equipment on customer sites across the North East.

The role requires strong fault-finding skills, an electrical engineering qualification and a full UK driving licence, with opportunities to work on Crane of the Future technology and blue‑chip projects.

Qualifications

• Overhead crane experience required.
• Electrical engineering qualification essential.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Willingness to travel within the UK and Europe.
• Ability to work independently on customer sites.
• Safety-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting, servicing and maintaining overhead cranes, hoists and jib cranes.
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Installing and supporting Crane of the Future technology.
• Explaining completed work and technical recommendations to customers.
• Identifying repairs, replacement parts and further work.
• Offering industry leading services levels to all clients.
