Job summary

Towne Lifting is seeking an experienced Overhead Crane Engineer to join our Newcastle team, working across the North East and potentially broader UK/Europe. The role involves inspecting, servicing, and maintaining overhead cranes, diagnosing electrical/mechanical faults, and supporting Crane of the Future technology.

A strong safety focus and clear customer communication are required.

Qualifications

• Overhead crane experience is essential.
• Electrical engineering qualification is required.
• A full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting, servicing and maintaining overhead cranes, hoists and jib cranes.
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Installing and supporting Crane of the Future technology.
• Explaining completed work and technical recommendations to customers.
• Identifying repairs, replacement parts and further work.
• Offering industry leading services levels to all clients.
