Job summary

Towne Lifting is seeking an experienced Overhead Crane Engineer to join our Hull team. You will inspect, service and maintain overhead cranes and hoists, diagnose faults, install Crane of the Future technology and support customers across the UK and Europe.

Ideal candidates have strong overhead crane experience, an electrical engineering qualification and solid fault-finding ability. A full UK driving licence is required.

Towne Lifting is looking for an experienced Overhead Crane Engineer to join our Hull team during one of the most exciting periods in the company’s history.

The Role

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will initially work across Hull, Yorkshire and the wider North East. Your responsibilities will include:

• Inspecting, servicing and maintaining overhead cranes, hoists and jib cranes.
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Installing and supporting Crane of the Future technology.
• Explaining completed work and technical recommendations to customers.
• Identifying repairs, replacement parts and further work.
• Offering industry leading services levels to all clients.
• Training can be provided in specialist areas where necessary.

As the business grows, there will be opportunities to support projects across the UK and Europe. This will suit someone interested in broadening their technical and commercial experience while working with leading organisations.

About You

You should have strong overhead crane experience, an electrical engineering qualification and good electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability.
