Streamline Search Ltd is seeking an Overhead Crane Engineer based in Nottingham, England. The position involves servicing, maintenance, and breakdown support for overhead cranes, requiring strong electrical and mechanical skills, as well as experience in the lifting equipment field.

The engineer will work Monday to Friday with a salary range of £40,000 – £45,000 per annum. Candidates should possess relevant engineering qualifications and be capable of working in industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working on overhead cranes, hoists, or lifting equipment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills.
• Experience with servicing, maintenance, and breakdown repair work.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Comfortable working at height and within industrial environments.

Overhead Crane Engineer – Position Overview

• Service, maintenance, and breakdown support on overhead and gantry cranes
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs
• Inspection, testing, and commissioning of lifting equipment where required
• Carrying out installations, upgrades, and modifications to crane systems
• Working safely on customer sites within industrial and manufacturing environments
• Completing service reports and associated documentation accurately
• Providing excellent customer service and technical support on site
• Participating in call‑out and overtime work when required

Position Requirements

• Previous experience working on overhead cranes, hoists, or lifting equipment
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills
• Experience with servicing, maintenance, and breakdown repair work
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and technical documentation
• Full UK driving licence
• Comfortable working at height and within industrial environments
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Relevant engineering qualifications or lifting industry certifications would be advantageous
• Knowledge of LOLER regulations and crane inspection procedures is desirable

Position Remuneration

• Salary £40,000 – £45,000 (depending on experience)
• Monday – Friday, 39 hours per week
• 28 days holiday, including bank holidays
