Job summary

Nashrock Insurance Recruitment is seeking an experienced Outwards Reinsurance Team Leader for a Lloyd’s Managing Agent based in London. You will lead a hands-on team, oversee month-end close, and act as SME for technical and XL Pro queries while driving efficiency across processes.

The role requires strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of Facultative, Treaty and XOL reinsurance, and the ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders to shape a best-in-class function.

Qualifications

• Experience in outwards/ceded reinsurance environment.
• Excellent understanding of Facultative, Treaty and XOL processes.
• Experience with XL Pro would be a distinct advantage.
• Previous experience leading or managing staff is beneficial.
• Strong technical and analytical skills, with SME capabilities.
• Proactive approach to improving processes and systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the outwards reinsurance team with a hands-on approach.
• Support the Head of Ceded Reinsurance across the function.
• Own the month-end close for outwards reinsurance from start to finish.
• Act as SME for technical, process and XL Pro queries.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and improve systems, procedures and operating model.
