Placr Recruitment is recruiting an Outsourcing Manager / Senior Manager in Guildford for a growing multi-office accountancy firm. The role focuses on advising SMEs, leading financial strategy and coaching teams, with close work alongside business owners and boards.

You will supervise budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while ensuring compliant, high-quality statutory deliverables and identifying opportunities to drive growth and improve controls.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent with two years at Director level.
• Experience delivering outsourced finance services in practice or as Finance Director.
• UK SME sector experience and ability to influence financial strategy.

Responsabilités

Are you a qualified finance professional who enjoys advising business owners, shaping financial strategy and helping ambitious businesses grow?

Placr Recruitment is working with a growing, multi-office accountancy firm to recruit an Outsourcing Manager / Senior Manager in Guildford.

The firm provides accountancy, taxation, payroll, advisory and financial planning services. With a modern advisory approach, it supports SMEs and owner-managed businesses with practical financial insight and strategic guidance.

This role offers the opportunity to become a trusted adviser to clients, working closely with business owners and boards. The focus is on client relationships, financial leadership and developing others through coaching and mentoring.

The role

You will help clients understand their financial position, plan ahead and make informed decisions that support growth and long-term stability.

Key responsibilities include:

• Advising SMEs and owner-managed businesses on financial strategy, performance and growth.
• Leading budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting, translating complex information into clear recommendations.
• Supporting financial integrity, regulatory compliance and high-quality statutory reporting.
• Leading board-level client discussions, identifying opportunities and challenging assumptions constructively.
• Identifying financial risks, strengthening controls and recommending improvements to processes.
• Working with audit, tax, payroll and wider teams to deliver a coordinated client service.
• Coaching clients' in-house or outsourced finance teams to improve capability and efficiency.
• Mentoring trainees and colleagues, sharing technical knowledge and supporting professional development.

About you

You will be fully qualified in ACA, ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent qualification, with a minimum of two years' experience at Director level.

You will have experience delivering outsourced finance services within an accountancy practice, or a background as a Finance Director within a relevant industry.

You will also bring:

• A strong track record supporting UK SMEs across a range of sectors.
• Commercial judgement and the ability to influence financial strategy.
• Confidence advising business owners, boards and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Experience coaching, mentoring and developing finance professionals.
• Experience supporting growing businesses, scale-ups, transformation projects or turnaround situations.
