Job summary

Buckinghamshire College Group is seeking a passionate Outreach Worker for the Aylesbury Campus to deliver targeted, student-centred support and wellbeing initiatives for learners facing barriers to engagement.

You will identify at-risk learners, build relationships with families and external partners, and coordinate with curriculum and support services to create effective support plans that foster participation and progression.

Qualifications

• Experience using trauma-informed, strengths-based and inclusive approaches to support learners.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage learners who are at risk of disengagement, non-attendance or poor progression.
• Build positive relationships with learners, parents/carers and external partners to support engagement and success.
• Deliver outreach and intervention activities that promote attendance, wellbeing and participation.
• Use trauma-informed, strengths-based and inclusive approaches to support learners.
• Work collaboratively with curriculum teams, support services and external agencies to coordinate effective support plans.
• Help learners develop confidence, resilience, independence and readiness for adulthood.
• Support progression into further learning, apprenticeships, employment, volunteering or other positive destinations.
