Job summary

St Mungo's is seeking an Outreach Worker to help put an end to rough sleeping in Reading. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) involves assessing client needs and delivering person-centred support, as well as collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and local agencies to address individual circumstances.

The role offers the chance to work with diverse people daily and to make a meaningful impact on the local community by helping individuals move away from homelessness.

Qualifications

• Resilience and patience to work with people with complex needs or challenging behaviour.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to build trust and develop effective relationships with a wide range of people and services.
• Adaptability and problem-solving skills to respond to individual needs.
• Understanding of homelessness and barriers to support.
• Full UK driving licence; additional language skills are an advantage.
