St Mungo's is seeking an Outreach Worker in Reading to assess needs and deliver person-centred support for individuals experiencing homelessness. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community partners to address complex needs and reduce rough sleeping.
The role requires strong communication, listening skills, and the ability to build trust. A full UK driving licence is preferred; visa sponsorship is not available, and there is an ongoing right to work in the UK requirement.
Our belief is that rough sleeping is a harmful and dangerous activity both for the individual and for the wider community. Therefore, we take a proactive and assertive approach to supporting people away from this activity. Our aim is to support people to recover from the effects of rough sleeping and move away from a street lifestyle permanently. We are now looking for someone to join the team as an Outreach Worker.
Successful candidates will be required to provide evidence of their right to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. A DBS disclosure check is a requirement for this post and will be undertaken for the successful candidate.
