Opportunity: Recovery Coordinator

We are seeking a Recovery Coordinator with the skills and experience to assess and engage with service users, ensuring they access the right interventions at the right time to meet their needs. Flexibility, curiosity, and good listening skills are essential, as no two days are the same, and each person is treated as an individual.

Location and Hours
  • Location: Brighton
  • Full-Time Hours: 37.5 per week
  • Salary Range: £27,861.26 - £32,002.35
  • Contract: Permanent
Role Responsibilities
  1. Build relationships with local community and faith-based groups to engage with ethnic minority service users
  2. Assess support needs and facilitate access to addiction recovery treatments
  3. Support community groups to understand local support pathways and harm minimisation
  4. Work with families and support networks when appropriate
  5. Coordinate treatment with various services and professionals
  6. Provide individual and group support and interventions
  7. Collaborate across Brighton & Hove to offer treatment options for those not yet accessing services
  8. Record, monitor, and report on performance indicators
Candidate Profile
  1. Understanding of support needs beyond drug and alcohol treatment
  2. Flexible, assertive engagement skills, especially with hard-to-reach individuals
  3. Strong verbal and written communication skills
  4. Experience working with ethnic minority groups and local services
  5. Knowledge of discrimination, stigma, and barriers faced by minority ethnic groups
  6. Ability to share insights with the wider team
