Internship Opportunity: Exploring General Business & Beyond

Lights Out Gallery is transforming a former snowshoe factory into a community hub and art gallery. We aim to connect local artists with wider audiences and create a vibrant community space that includes a co-working area, dance studio, makers’ space, and art gallery, fostering economic growth and internet access in rural Maine.

Responsibilities:

1. Build a volunteer and donor base to support the community co-working space.
2. Organize fundraising projects and community events, including videos, social media campaigns, and a summer art show.
3. Manage donations and volunteer data using Little Green Light.
4. Collaborate with local community members and businesses for scheduling, fundraising, and acknowledgments.

This internship is part of the Goodwill VISTA Partnership, which aims to reduce poverty in Maine by strengthening nonprofit capacities through program development, fundraising, social media, volunteer recruitment, and more.
