Job summary

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Support Worker to join Elmwood, Cedar, and the Medical Day Unit across multiple outpatient clinics. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and support the delivery of outpatient services.

Essential qualifications include NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or NHS Care Certificate, Moving and Handling and Basic Life Support.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or NHS Care Certificate completed.
• Moving and Handling Certificate and Basic Life Support certificate required.
• Previous experience in a health care setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of the Elmwood and Medical Outpatients team, providing high-quality patient care within competencies and under supervision.
• Adhere to all departmental and Trust policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
• Prepare clinical environments, equipment, and treatment rooms for outpatient sessions.
• Maintain understanding of care, cleaning, storage, and maintenance of instruments and equipment.
• Demonstrate safe moving and handling techniques and use appropriate equipment.
• Maintain awareness of health and safety requirements to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
