Job summary

West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust in a hospital setting is seeking a Band 3 Booking and Request List Scheduler for Outpatients. The role is 37.5 hours per week on a 12-month fixed-term contract, based in the Outpatient Booking team.

The successful candidate will manage outpatient bookings across Cerner and ERS, ensuring professional patient interaction and data accuracy while supporting managers with reports and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient operational management support to the Outpatient Booking and Request List scheduling teams.
• Act as a scheduler for booking appointments on Cerner and ERS; prioritise by triage outcome.
• Compile ERS worklists and Cerner report lists into a service level report.
• Regularly review Bookings SOPs and ensure standardised first appointment bookings.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct with vulnerable patients.
• Attend meetings, produce weekly/monthly reports and support service improvements.
