Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic SEND Outdoor Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils in Tiverton and surrounding areas. The role involves 1:1 or small-group outdoor learning support, adapting activities to needs, and assisting with EHCPs and behaviour plans. Contract is full-time, term-time only, with hours 9:00am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Pay is £105–£115 per day, and start is ASAP. Opportunities include short-, long-term and permanent placements, plus CPD and support from

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable but not essential.
• Transferable experience in care, youth work, outdoor education or family SEND support.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small-group support during outdoor learning sessions.
• Adapt activities to meet individual needs and abilities.
• Support EHCPs, IEPs and behaviour support plans.
• Promote independence, confidence and engagement.
• Support emotional wellbeing, communication and behaviour regulation.
• Work closely with teachers, the SENCo and wider support staff.
